Hometown
Thornesbridge is a medium sized town with a cathedral situated on both sides of Thorne River. It is in Haerashire (the midlands) and receives a lot of trade via boat. It was a human settlement at first, with Theren being the first elven villager almost 300 years ago. It now has a bustling market life with people from all sorts of different fantasy races.
Backstory
Theren grew up in a small Moon elf forest settlement that followed Corellon. At age 84 with the help of Corellon and some strong transmutation magic he physically transitioned. He also accidentally made himself too tall but he doesnt let it get to him LOL
It was around this time he stumbled into the town of Thornesbridge and set himself up as the resident Wizard handyman.
Over the years he became very well known in town even if just as "the wizard guy" because hes kind of hard to miss. Hes been on quite a few quests in his time often commissioned by people from or around town who have heard of him.
He loves being around people but he forced himself to become a bit of a recluse because of the difference between human and elf lifespans :^(
Other important characters
His husband, Sszaantor Bakewell, is a 6' tall drowic elf who works as a Baker and is an amateur actor on the side. His personality: warm and soft like freshly baked loaf of bread :^) he can get kinda snarky and sarcastic sometimes though. One time Theren went on a quest on his behalf and almost died like twice and Sszaantor didnt find this out until Theren invited the dryad that tried to kill him to their wedding reception.
Theyre monogamous but open to other people coming round from time to time 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳 you know how it is being an Elf with a lifespan of like 700 years. you gotta get out there sometimes LOL
His best friend Arastina Merrytread, is a 3' tall gnomish woman, who works at the Apothecary. Sometimes they try to fool people into thinking theyre related. No one is convinced. Sometimes she teaches him swear words in gnomish and pretends theyre greetings

Other stuff
In my vision this is like, medieval times but an alternate version to ours entirely, where the presence of corporeal gods and the arcane has caused technology to both advance greatly in some areas and stay strangely stagnant in others. its kinda like a lot of different time periods from our world mashed together but also theres magic wizards. its kind of uncanny valley
